Week 4: Monday Newtown Overview

The topic this week was ‘It’s raining’. We had umbrellas, raincoats, gum boots for the sensory part, as well as air-filled raindrops, clouds, snowflake and lightening toys. I could hear our children repeating out loud the words when we were showing them in the flash card section – how inspiring! Well done little Mandarin stars!

It was the 4th birthday of Huzi in our class today. With all the gifts, nice cake and the birthday song, what a nice birthday it was! Xie xie Huzi and Sheng ri kuai le (Happy Birthday)!

See you next week!

Xie Xie!

Week 5: Friday/ Saturday Craft Room General Overview

The topic this week was ‘It’s sunny!’. We prepared sunglasses, hats and sunscreens for the sensory part, and we could see that it was a great chance for our children to learn those words while having lots of fun! We want to say thanks to all the parents that brought hats and sunglasses to the class, too. That really helped our teaching. We made hats for the craft time this week. Paper folding is very helpful for the children to improved their fine motor skill, and we revised words such as ‘eyes’, ‘nose’ and ‘mouth’ in this section. Well done!

See you next week!

Xie xie!
