Welcome to our new blog! We are all very excited to have this wonderful tool to communicate and engage with you! Please share any thoughts you have about Mandarin Stars, our Mandarin program for children and any comments you have about bilingualism/ 2nd langauge acquisition. We would especially love to hear about your experiences learning a 2nd language and / or raising a bilingual child- these topics are of significant interest to us and our community.

It is our goal to create a 1st class Mandarin learning program and environment for pre school aged children here in Australia. Our work in this area is constantly evolving and we would love to hear your ideas/ comments.

Recently our teaching team had a Workshop at Dawna’s house- we talked about our forward program and swapped ideas as to how we can improve our teaching method and delivery. Some great ideas were shared and we look forward to implementing them this term.

We also had a lovely Thai banquet cooked by Dawna’s friend, Jean, and then the team went on to enjoy a team Play Doh making session- it was team building at its best with all 8 of us huddled in the kitchen! Leo (Dawna’s 4 year old) relished in having so many Mandarin teachers chatting away to him while Quon (Dawna’s 1 year old) just enjoyed all the female attention!
