Emily, Lily, Shireen, Isaiah and Leo were in our Lion group for the first session, and in the second session we had Alexander, Sarah, Kristy, Lanah and Madison.
With the encouragement of the stickers, all our children did extremely well in self-introduction and flash-cards revision. We then played the ‘guess what’ game in the group and everyone seemed to really like it. Leo and Kristy were the winners this week, congratulations!
By playing with our ‘Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head’, we reviewed words such as ‘yan jing’ (eyes), ‘er duo’ (ears), ‘zui ba’ (mouth) and ‘hu zi’ (mustache). And for craft this week we made ‘wa zi’ – socks. We also stuck little stars and ‘mian hua’ (cotton) on them. Nice!
See you next week!

The topic this week was ‘my pet’. Again we brought toy dogs, cats, birds and fish for our playgroup and played the game of fishing! We counted the fish together – yi, er, san, si, wu, liu, qi!
The story we told this week was about the parrots, snakes, lions and hippos in the jungle. They were playing ‘hide and seek’ – but we found them all!
We then had a rather interesting craft – a paper-folded fish. The children all drew fish scales and stuck big eyes on them. How cute!
It was also the birthday of our lovely Hong Tong. Thanks for Hong Tong’s mum who brought us cake to the playgroup! We sang the ‘Happy Birthday’ song together to her. Sheng ri kuai le, Hong Tong!
See you next week!
