Session 1
We had Connor, Shui Ling and Ethan in Hou Zi (Monkey) group for the first session today. We reviewed the flash cards, Tai Yang (Sun), Mao Zi (hat), and Tai Yang Jing (sunglasses) first. Ethan repeated all the words. Shui Ling did some too. It was very good to see Connor writing the characters so well and having fun during activity time. All the children in our groups did great in the craft time making hats!
Session 2
We had Evan, Nick Laura and Ella in Hou Zi (Monkey) group for the second session today. Evan and Ella were also in my group while snack time. Evan actively said Xie Xie (Thanks) to me every time when I gave him a piece of fruit. What a good mannered little gentleman he is! Ella joined us during snack time later, it was good to see her observing us saying the fruit names. Laura was in the group later when we were reviewing the flash cards. She repeated every word we learned today, Evan did great, too. All of the children did a great job in craft time. We made hats and decorated them with colourful stars. Well done!

Week 5: Friday/ Saturday Craft Room General Overview
The topic this week was ‘It’s sunny!’. We prepared sunglasses, hats and sunscreens for the sensory part, and we could see that it was a great chance for our children to learn those words while having lots of fun! We want to say thanks to all the parents that brought hats and sunglasses to the class, too. That really helped our teaching. We made hats for the craft time this week. Paper folding is very helpful for the children to improved their fine motor skill, and we revised words such as ‘eyes’, ‘nose’ and ‘mouth’ in this section. Well done!
See you next week!
Xie xie!
