Session One

It is the second week to teach words about ‘pets’, and I could feel children are more willing to say words on flashcards. Joel and Alex did an excellent job because they could not only repeat the words I said, but also understand their meanings and pronunciations as they  gave me a ‘dog’ when I said ‘gou (dog)’ even though both of them had a ‘cat’ at the same time. Jazmine definitely had a great time today – she didn’t even want to leave after class!

Session Two

Happy birthday, Tongtong. Thanks for your cake!
I realized that when we said ‘who is behind the puppet theatre’, all children said one, two three in Mandarin and Asha even counted the numbers with fingers. Larissa and Ashley pointed out right flashcards when I said ‘mao (cat), gou (dog) and yu (fish)’ respectively.

See you next time!

Vicky
